Twenty-four poems a day, one an hour, each describing the interaction of an object with time. Between one hour and the next the swarm takes apart what it wrote and slowly assembles something else. The work cannot be watched to the end and cannot be hurried: whoever wants the legible moment has to be there when it arrives. Every copy of Adagio in the world runs on the same clock, so all of them are legible in the same instant. Twenty-four a day, and no two the same.
