Give Her Flowers

In Italy and elsewhere the eighth of March is marked by giving women flowers, which answers a political date with a gesture belonging to the order that date was meant to contest. The work takes the custom literally. Small coloured flowers are arranged by a flow field, and among them run phrases collected for their form: compliments in shape, diminishments in effect. She's content with her role as a homemaker. You're pretty good at this, for a girl. She's too emotional to handle pressure. The prettiness is the argument, and it is the same argument as the flowers.
